Bought a Polaroid Camera for her as a present, but then my bubble got popped when she said that she wanted to buy one because she was having a great time spamming pictures using her friend's Polaroid Camera. So I gave her an advance present and it was nice seeing her happy. However, the thought of not giving her any presents on the actual day seems like a bad idea, so I guess it's time for me to crack my brain to see what can I get her.
Anyway, seeing posts on Twitter about "Life Lesson" got me thinking, "Among all the life lessons, which one is the most important?".
For me, I feel that the most important life lesson would be about making the right choices and decision. No matter how much effort you are willing to put into a relationship, be it BGR or just normal friends, the most important thing is about the choices you make.
Given a certain scenario, like sms-ing somebody of the opposite gender, you could choose to reply with a long text or just a simple "Ok". Choosing to reply with a long text implies that you are willing to communicate with the person and depending on your choice of words, you might even misled them to think that, "Hey, this guy/girl is interested in me." while replying with a simple "Ok" implies that, "Hey, ya. I got your message and I'm fine with me." and the conversation usually ends there.
For me, I had my bad share of experience of making bad choices. Like what happened after Sundown Festival 2011(I got into an accident if you didn't know), I had a choice to wait for the other cars to move off first before moving. Yet, I've chose to reverse my car in an attempt to cut the queue and got into an accident. At that point of time, I was angry at myself for being impatient and ended up with a $600 bill for my repairs.
Every action has its consequences, and by choosing your course of action, would result in either a good or bad consequences. Like when you're in a relationship, choosing to be close to someone of the opposite gender can have a very drastic effect to your partner. Another example would be like leaving out your partner's present for a gift exchange during Christmas. All these actions do have very drastic consequences which would end the relationship if he/she does not do anything to salvage the situation.
The choices you make would not only impact you in every aspect of your everyday life, but of others as well. So I guess the most important lesson in life boils down to making the right choices and decision. And I do hope that you would come to realize it quickly and make the right choice.
